Logistics Manager - Whitebridge Plant - Joplin, MO
Role Overview
The Logistics Manager will oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring efficient procurement, production, inventory management, and shipping to meet business objectives and customer demand.
Responsibilities
Strategic planning and process optimization: Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance across the supply chain network.
Procurement and Supplier Management: Source and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance through trends/scores, and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality materials while following the Corrective Action process with supplier deviations.
Production Scheduling: Ensure scheduling is completed for processes and packaging to meet POS with emphasis on optimizing the schedule and partnering with Operations in adverse conditions.
Inventories and Warehouse Management: Oversee inventory control and warehouse operations to minimize shortages or excess inventory and implement audits including First In, First Out (FIFO).
Shipping: Coordinate transportation to ensure timely delivery of finished goods to the warehouse.
Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks, develop contingency plans, and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions.
Team Leadership and Collaboration: Train, mentor, and manage the supply chain teams while collaborating with internal departments such as operations, quality, and finance.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor supply chain KPIs, analyze logistics data, and prepare reports to support decisions and continuous improvement.
Training: Conduct training for procedures or policies covered within supply chain.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
3+ years directly supervising personnel in supply chain management
8+ years of experience in logistics/supply chain
Knowledge of inventory control best practices and industry standards
Experience with utilizing lean tools such as JIT, Kanban, etc. is a plus
End-to-end supply chain competency
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
Experience in collecting and analyzing data
Talent in negotiations and networking
Familiar with OSHA regulations, safety policies/procedures preferred
Aptitude in deductive reasoning and logical thought process
Attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to operate effectively under moderate stress
Ability to organize work and be efficient to meet time demands
Ability to adapt to various environments, handle and accept change in a positive manner, and work through ambiguity
Demonstrated ability to work without direct/constant supervision
Aptitude in learning SOPs and other written programs in order to support SQF system

Pay and Benefits
Salary Range: $93,700.00 - $140,700.00 / Annually
