Essential Job Functions

  • Provide expert-level logistics and product support expertise to Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Support government leadership with acquisition lifecycle planning, sustainment strategy development, risk management, and logistics execution to ensure mission readiness and long-term system viability.
  • Identify and analyze funding, manpower, material, facility, and service requirements necessary to support assigned programs.
  • Correlate program requirements with execution plans to ensure timely and effective logistics support.
  • Develop and maintain sustainment planning documentation including LCSPS, ILSPS, PS-BCAS, DSOR/SORA packages.
  • Develop and execute logistics and sustainment strategies, including Component Depot Activation (CDA) support.
  • Address Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) challenges through supply chain analysis and alternate sourcing strategies.
  • Support all phases of the acquisition life cycle including source selection and acquisition strategy development.
  • Assist in development of CBAS, ICDS, CDDS, and CPDS.
  • Maintain requirements traceability and provide decision-support analysis.
  • Support development of T&E documentation including temps.
  • Provide logistics analytical support focused on supply, reliability, and maintainability metrics.
  • Conduct Business Case Analyses (BCA) and trade studies.
  • Develop briefings and milestone documentation for leadership reviews.
  • Provide logistics input to RFPS, SOWS, and CDRLS.

Required Skills

  • Due to the sensitivity of the customer, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 12 years of experience in the respective discipline, including 5 years in the DoD.

Desired Skills

  • Master’s degree in related field with 10 years of experience in the respective discipline, including 5 years in the DoD.
  • Experience integrating logistics functions to plan, implement, or execute logistics programs.
  • Familiarity with the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning.
  • Understanding of DoD 5000-series acquisition processes.
  • Experience with Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements.
  • Knowledge of PS-BCA, LCSP, and LHA processes.
  • Knowledge of DoD program planning, funding, and management systems.
  • Broad understanding of organizations involved in providing logistical support.
  • Logistics management; program planning and baseline documentation.
  • Experience with MIL-STD processes and products.
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000 series acquisition processes.
  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience.
