Zentis is Europe's number one fruit processing company and a leading brand manufacturer of jams, sweets, and custard-based desserts. Our North American operations in Plymouth, Indiana, produce fruit and dairy preparations for yogurt, ice cream, and bakery manufacturers.

About the role

The Logistics Manager oversees all inbound and outbound operations at the Plymouth, IN facility. This includes leading daily warehouse and logistics activities such as Shipping/Receiving, Inventory Control/Management, pre-production staging of raw materials and finished goods, transportation coordination, warehouse layout design, quality standards, inventory rotation, and employee supervision. The role supports both internal and external customers and drives process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse, material handling, shipping, and receiving operations, ensuring safety, material flow, and inventory control.
  • Coordinate receiving and shipping functions to deliver the highest level of customer service.
  • Facilitate production by pre-staging and pre-weighing raw materials prior to batch initiation.
  • Ensure on-time and in-full delivery to customers in collaboration with Customer Service, Quality, and transportation carriers.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Production, Quality, and other internal teams to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Assist Purchasing/Supply Chain in inventory control and management.
  • Provide leadership for supervisory staff, including coaching, training, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure timely and accurate receipt, put-away, and SAP system entry of incoming materials, packaging, and supplies.
  • Maintain organized storage of all materials (raw, WIP, finished goods, packaging) both physically and electronically.
  • Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and increase efficiencies.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and high housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure compliance with employee safety and food safety processes, including HACCP team participation.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in a relevant field.
  • 3–5 years of warehouse management experience with a focus on inventory control.
  • 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing.
  • 1–2 years of experience in inbound/outbound logistics.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • SAP or other sophisticated ERP system experience.
