Logistics Manager

About the role

This Supply Chain/Logistics Manager position oversees the logistics operations at the Mesquite Plant, including warehousing, domestic and international transportation, and customs clearance. The role involves leading a team, collaborating with various internal stakeholders, and working closely with external suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Closely monitor warehouse, transportation, and customs third-party logistics performance, lead KPI performance reviews, and work with third-party logistics on action plans to close gaps against KPI targets per service agreement.
• Drive third-party logistics on continuous improvement.
• Work closely with sourcing team on local third-party logistics selection and bidding process, support pricing and contract negotiation, and ongoing vendor management.
• Secure sufficient storage and delivery capacity with third-party logistics, build flexibility to meet business requirements and contingencies.
• Develop and recommend improvements to existing processes and procedures that contribute to continuous improvement of local operations and reduce administrative burdens and costs.
• Hold regular reviews on inventory health, work closely with planning team to monitor inventory levels, provide logistics information on storage capacity planning, inventory aging, and drive aged/defective stock clearance.
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external customers, understand customer needs, and define processes to meet customer requests.
• Work closely with compliance, quality, and EHS teams to ensure suppliers understand and comply with company standards and business continuity requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferred in Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in warehouse management or transportation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with international and domestic logistics service providers.
• Good knowledge of SAP system.
