About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced temporary (1½–2 years contract) Logistics Manager to join our construction team at our new WAL6 facility in Wallula, Washington. This role is responsible for overseeing daily logistics on-site, from arrival of shipments/deliveries, storage on-site, and transport to the installation crews—conducted safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Logistics Manager acts as the primary on-ground contact for the shipment coordinator based in Europe and the overseeing transport company.

Requirements
- Degree in Logistics Management, Engineering, or equivalent background
- 10+ years of logistics and/or site experience, with at least 5 years serving in a Site Logistics Manager/Coordinator or similar site leadership role
- Strong communication and leadership skills, preferably with experience in an international environment
- Extensive experience in industrial environments, with a strong focus on site execution and coordination
- Proven track record managing logistic activities
- Demonstrated ability to lead contractors and suppliers
- Strong understanding of site logistics, sequencing, and coordination to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Experience ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and site-specific requirements
- Hands-on, proactive leadership style with the ability to drive progress, resolve conflicts, and maintain project timelines
Responsibilities
- Manage the site logistics contractor and day-to-day logistics on-site
- Enable efficient execution of both construction and installation works:
- Unload trucks upon arrival
- Storage in dedicated areas
- Transport stored equipment to dedicated installation areas
- Communicate and coordinate closely with the construction team, project managers, contractors, and suppliers, particularly for high-risk activities in shared work areas
- Ensure all contractors maintain safe working conditions and proactively manage work sequencing to avoid conflicts
- Enforce compliance with ROCKWOOL safety standards, site-specific safety plans, and applicable regulations
- Manage site logistics scope and budget, supporting cost-effective project delivery
- Collaborate with project stakeholders (Project team, Group functions, and Operational team/End user) to drive safety, quality, and efficient project execution
