Key job responsibilities

  • Lead a team of technicians and associates to execute daily manufacturing operations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for real-time process issues; troubleshoot and escalate when necessary.
  • Plan, assign, and prioritize tasks to meet production goals and schedule adherence, ensuring effective shift handoffs and end-of-shift reporting.
  • Provide direct coaching and training to team members, contributing to onboarding and ongoing skills development.
  • Develop and implement training plans within your department. Maintain and update training documents and visual work instructions; validate SOP effectiveness and drive updates when deviations are identified.
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives (e.g., 6S, safety, Kaizen), using data collection and root cause analysis to drive results.
  • Review team output for quality and adherence to production specifications; ensure metrics are met across individual and team performance.
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings and ensure alignment with cross-functional teams to support shift readiness and performance.
  • Foster a culture of safety by modeling best practices, escalating hazards, and ensuring compliance with site safety protocols.
  • Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the manufacturing team.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role, managing production activities or supporting a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to read technical documentation, interpret work instructions, and ensure quality adherence.
  • Experience with tools, equipment, and systems used in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
