Logistics Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

This summer internship is full-time (40 hours/week) and offers a hybrid work schedule with a mix of on-site and remote work. The purpose of the internship position is to develop college students pursuing a career in supply chain, transportation, accounting, human resources, IT, or an applicable division. Interns may be exposed to a variety of projects and activities within the transportation business, applying college‑learned knowledge and skills in the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, and hourly.

Responsibilities

• Support Brokerage Operations by vetting carriers via the compliance system (RMIS) and approving them in the brokerage operations system (Mastermind).
• Support Dedicated Operations by tending contracted carriers for backhaul and power‑only loads, including track/trace.
• Assist the Procurement team with truckload (TL) RFPs using a procurement software tool and help with back‑office support tasks such as developing transportation provider pricing schedules.
• Update and maintain weekly metrics.
• Carry out the Company's organizational values and operate in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
• Provide day‑to‑day support for Dedicated Operations (≈50% of time).
• Support Brokerage Operations with carrier compliance and on‑boarding (≈15% of time).
• Assist in the preparation of reports (≈15% of time).
• Participate in the truckload RFP process (≈10% of time).
• Perform other job‑related duties and special projects as required (≈10% of time).

Full‑time schedule: 40 hours per week, hybrid work arrangement with a mix of on‑site and remote work.
