Responsibilities

• Assist with business goals to strategically source goods and services, decrease manufacturing time, minimize optimizing inventory, streamline order fulfillment and build continuous improvement projects
• Perform systems data entry and reduce costs as we deliver products and commodities that meet customers’ price and scheduling needs and improve our bottom line
• Participate in logistics management and transportation coordination, including equipment management, cost control, transportation coordination, deployment, and planning
• Potential involvement in commodity merchandising, customer service operations planning, freight bills, tariff/rate quotations, rate management, local plant logistics, sales contract development, data analytics, and accounting
• Apply skills and gain an understanding of the organization through various intern events

Internship details

• Internships are typically 12 weeks in duration
• Interns are paid hourly for time worked
• Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work
• Interns may have the opportunity to travel during their term
• Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance and a curiosity to learn more may be offered an internship or full-time position to return the following year

Compensation

The expected hourly rate for this position is $23.13 - $32.02. Compensation decisions are dependent on graduation date and eligibility for full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited program in supply chain, procurement, engineering, finance, economics, MIS, logistics, or another related business subject area graduating between December 2027 and summer 2029
• Must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate to Amarillo, TX for an internship opportunity
• Able to complete a 12-week internship in the summer (May/June - August 2027)
• Proven ability to work optimally with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures
• Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience
• Ability to demonstrate a strong aptitude for business

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0
