Logistics Intern /Hybrid co-op
Position Overview
As a Logistics Hybrid Co-op you will gain hands-on experience across transportation management, freight analytics, logistics operations, system implementation, and cross-functional project coordination. Candidates with experience through coursework, projects, internships, or student organizations involving supply chain, data analytics, process improvement, business systems, or transportation operations are encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions
- Support Transportation Management System (TMS) and logistics technology initiatives, including data validation, testing, process documentation, and user acceptance activities.
- Aid with data analysis and mapping between logistics systems, order management platforms, carrier data, and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with Logistics, IT, Procurement, Operations, Finance, carriers, freight forwarders, and other cross-functional partners to document requirements and support project execution.
- Document current-state and future-state logistics workflows, identify process improvement opportunities, and help maintain SOPs, user guides, and training materials.
- Support carrier onboarding, supplier integration, EDI activities, and logistics master data management efforts.
- Help troubleshoot system issues and provide feedback to the systems implementation team.
- Research logistics best practices, automation opportunities, and emerging technologies that can improve execution, visibility, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Co-op Project Opportunities
- Logistics process mapping and SOP standardization across key transportation workflows.
- TMS Rollout Support & User Readiness Assessment
- Data analysis and mapping
- Develop recommendations and present project findings
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of supply chain, transportation, logistics, or operations concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with data; willingness to learn new logistics systems, reporting tools, and software platforms.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or exposure to ERP, TMS, OMS, or WMS platforms such as Oracle/OTM, SAP, Manhattan, or similar systems.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or other data visualization/analytics tools.
- Exposure to data cleansing, data mapping, workflow documentation, user testing, or system integration projects.
- Interest in logistics technology, digital transformation, process improvement, automation, and transportation optimization.

- Hrs: Co-ops and Interns are expected to work a full 40-hour work week.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will vary depending on multiple factors including year in school/credits earned, degree, job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
