About the role
Applicants must have an Active Top Secret/SCI US Government clearance with polygraph. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Affixes to the regulations/guidelines/SOPs of the Office of Logistics and the Sponsor's logistics and supply chain regulations.
- Closes coordination with senior Logistics staff officer (or their designated representative) in the appropriate Directorate/Mission Center/Component/Office of assignment.
- Assists with the administration and control for the purchase of materials and services.
- Directs the complete process for transporting people and goods.
- Oversight materials management within area of assignment.
- Covers coordination and planning facility services.
- Tracks cost issues and personnel resources.
- Administers elements of multi-faceted programs.
Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills, a willingness to help others, and flexibility throughout any given working day regarding tasks conducted.
- Extensive knowledge of overall logistics processes, policies, and regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience utilizing various databases and applications independently.
- Critical thinking skills necessary to comprehend the implications of process, policies and regulations against requirements.
- Experience managing the general services functional areas: transportation processing, inventory management, vehicle management, and accountable property.
- Adaptability to work independently and responsibly.
- Interpersonal skills to establish a new network of professional working relationships with customers, colleagues, and service providers, while further developing existing networks.
- Critical thinking skills to make decisions and solve complex problems effectively and independently.
- Critical thinking skills to anticipate customer needs and requirements and identify alternative solutions.
- Experience assisting in the effective planning, organizing and management of resources.
- Leadership skills to develop self and mentor other contractors, and ability to effectively manage and lead other contractors.
- Working knowledge of Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) concepts and principles.
- Working knowledge of Project Management concepts and principles.
- Working knowledge of Fleet Management.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
- At least 10 years of relevant logistics experience in the public or private sector.
- Or a minimum of 24 months, within last 3 years, of experience as a Logistics Generalist supporting a sensitive Sponsor program.
