Overall Responsibilities
- 30% Develop logistic metrics, internal analysis tools, or key performance indicators for business units.
- 10% Conduct logistics studies or analyses, such as time studies, zero-base analyses, rate analyses, network analyses, flow-path analyses, or supply chain analyses.
- 20% Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities.
- 20% Analyzing Data or Information — Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
- 10% Design plant distribution centers.
- 5% Evaluate the use of technologies, such as global positioning systems (GPS), radio-frequency identification (RFID), route navigation software, or satellite linkup systems, to improve transportation efficiency.
- 5% Conduct environmental audits for logistics activities, such as storage, distribution, or transportation.
- Perform data analysis and requirements.
- Site evaluation, site and building requirements.
- Planning process and material flow, Warehouse-Infrastructure & layout planning.
- Productivities & staff requirements.
- Establish and plan budgeting investments and project costs.
- Project planning for timelines and milestones.
- Understanding and developing of layouts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial or supply chain engineering or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance, industrial or manufacturing engineering capacity.
- Ability to travel up to 25% within the US, with potential for international travel, if needed.
- Basic knowledge in ERP system, preferably SAP.
