Full-time position (40 hours per week) on a day shift, located on the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City.

About the Role

Logistics Coordinators assist in the supply, material flow, and storage of inventory from the supplier to the customer. They ensure timely and accurate flow of material through inbound and outbound shipments, review purchase orders and shipping documents, track and fix shipping errors, and safely handle items while maintaining inventory records. Coordinators also load and unload goods, record damaged or missing items, assist in quality control, and collaborate with warehouse staff to keep goods organized.

The department may hire at one of four career-progression levels (Entry, Intermediate, Skilled, or Highly Skilled) based on experience and business need.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the supply, material flow, and storage of inventory from supplier to customer.
  • Ensure timely and accurate flow of material through inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Review purchase orders and shipping documents to verify accuracy; track and resolve shipping errors.
  • Safely and efficiently move and handle items; assist with inventory records.
  • Load and unload goods from delivery trucks, checking for correct quantity and type of materials.
  • Record any damaged, missing, or faulty goods and assist in quality control.
  • Work closely with warehouse staff to keep goods organized and moving.

Qualifications

  • Logistics Coordinator, I (Entry Level): Requires little to no related experience.
  • Logistics Coordinator, II (Intermediate): Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
  • Logistics Coordinator, III (Skilled): Requires 3+ years of related experience.
  • Logistics Coordinator, IV (Highly Skilled): Requires 5+ years of related experience.
  • 1 year of higher education may substitute for 1 year of directly related work experience (e.g., a bachelor’s degree = 4 years of experience).

Pay

  • Logistics Coordinator, I (Grade S13): $10.16 to $23.31 per hour
  • Logistics Coordinator, II (Grade S14): $10.96 to $25.06 per hour
  • Logistics Coordinator, III (Grade S15): $11.75 to $26.94 per hour
  • Logistics Coordinator, IV (Grade S16): $12.62 to $28.96 per hour
  • Hiring pay rate range for this posting: $18–$20 per hour.
