Logistics Associate I
Position Overview
The Logistics Associate I plays a critical role in producing high-quality transformers efficiently and safely. This role operates within a dynamic and collaborative manufacturing environment where teamwork, integrity, and respect are highly valued. The Logistics Associate I will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure product quality and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate incoming orders and organize shipping and receiving activities accordingly
- Help keep operations running smoothly and on schedule
- Maintain knowledge of product specifications and production/logistics standards
- Training and Safety
- Fork truck certification
- Observe all safety rules and guidelines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment
- Documentation and Reporting
- Perform recordkeeping tasks, including inventory management and order tracking
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure orders are completed on time
- Communicate effectively with leads, supervisors, and team members
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift duties each day
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 3 hours continuously, between breaks)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for line tasks and packing duties
- Ability to move within the production area to communicate with other team members and supervisors
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical labels in English
- Strong communication skills in English, both for daily operations and during emergencies
Job Requirements
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments such as a machinist’s scale, tape measure, and dial calipers to within specified tolerances
- Capable of reading and interpreting Bills of Materials (BOM) and Order Management Sheets (OMS)
- Knowledge of dispensing machine operations and equipment maintenance
- Core Competencies
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team
- Ability to observe and follow safety standards to maintain a secure working environment
Protective Equipment
- Certified safety glasses or side shields for prescription glasses
- Nitrile gloves for handling chemicals
- Anti-slip, steel-toed shoes are mandatory
- Rubber (anti-fatigue) mats are provided for each workstation
Schedule
Mon-Thurs. 5:00AM - 3:30PM and occasional Fridays
