Working closely with the Logistics Lead, and Managers, this role is responsible for receiving and processing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring merchandise is properly handled, tagged, and stocked. This role may also assist with sales floor operations as needed to support overall business needs. Key Responsibilities Works With The Logistics Lead To Manage the organization of merchandise in storage units, warehouse, and stockroomOrganize and rotate back stock in the storage unit, warehouse, and stockroom for easy replenishmentCoordinate placement of shipments from truck deliveriesCommunicate accurately and effectively with the Managers and LeadsReport to vendors and management of any missing or damaged items in shipmentsEnsure Purchase Orders are completed efficiently and accurately in a timely mannerEnsure merchandise is properly tagged, secured, and coded per company guidelinesMaintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the storage units, warehouse, and stockroomWorks closely with the Managers and Leads to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floorResponsible for accurately entering merchandise into the POS systemEnsures compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programsEnsures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and proceduresSupports and participates in inventory shrink reduction goals and programsSupports maintenance of a risk-free environmentPerform as Gift Shop Sales Associate when neededPerforms other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalentTwo years of customer service or equivalent experience preferredOne year of retail experienceAbility to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including nights and weekendsSuperior organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to respond appropriately to unexpected situations or changes in deliveries or merchandising plansTeam player, working effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasksCapable of regularly lifting 20lbs-40lbs with or without reasonable accommodationStrong, precise communication skillsMust possess a valid driver's license The above job duties and responsibilities describe the general nature and level of work for employees in this position, but this is not intended as an exclusive or all-inclusive inventory of all duties required of employees in this job.It is the policy of the Atlanta Botanical Garden to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
