Logistics Associate, Gift Shop

About the role

The Gift Shop Logistics Associate supports the efficient flow, organization, and accuracy of merchandise across storage areas, warehouse, and sales floor operations. This role works closely with the Logistics Lead and Managers to handle receiving, inventory, and stocking while also assisting with sales floor operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the organization of merchandise in storage units, warehouse, and stockroom
• Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment
• Coordinate placement of shipments from truck deliveries
• Communicate with Managers and Leads regarding missing or damaged items in shipments
• Ensure Purchase Orders are completed efficiently and accurately
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, secured, and coded per company guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and organizational standards in storage areas
• Work with Managers and Leads to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor
• Accurately enter merchandise into the POS system
• Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Support inventory shrink reduction goals and programs
• Maintain a risk-free environment
• Perform as Gift Shop Sales Associate when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of customer service or equivalent experience preferred
• One year of retail experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Superior organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to respond appropriately to unexpected situations or changes in deliveries
• Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Capable of regularly lifting 20–40 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Strong, precise communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
