Logistics and Warehouse Support SME/Tower Climber - SWFO - Tucson, AZ

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage deployment and sustainment activities, ensuring adherence to quality assurance protocols, safety regulations, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with established requirements, industry standards, and programmatic objectives.
• Perform detailed field observations of systems undergoing deployment, ensuring compliance with quality assurance protocols, safety regulations, and technical specifications.
• Inspect and validate work performed by outside vendors residing on and near CBP-owned or leased towers.
• Document deployment notes and related information in alignment with discussions held with the team leader and team members.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation within the SWFO TEAMS channel.
• Manage schedules and allocate resources to meet mission requirements.
• Conduct physical configuration audits, support system acceptance inspections, and oversee functional testing requirements.
• Assist with delivering comprehensive asset management support services, including accountability across all phases of the asset lifecycle.
• Escort duties, cargo security, inventory and disposition, forklift support, and vehicle transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience working as a tower climber/tower worker, climbing minimum 200 ft.
• Required to be tower climb certified at a competent level and must be able to complete tower inspections in accordance with the Tower Industry Association (TIA) 222-G standards.
• Certified - or able to be certified - in accordance with OSHA Regulations and ANSI/TIA Standards.
• Able to climb ladders and steep staircases.
• Able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must be able to pass a DHS Customs and Border Protections Background Investigation.
• Available to travel (up to 75%) for this position.
