Logistics and Trade Compliance Manager

About the Role

Oversee and streamline all logistics operations for domestic and international shipments, ensuring smooth goods flow across global supply chains while maintaining compliance with U.S. regulations and international trade requirements. Serve as the primary subject matter expert in logistics and trade compliance, guiding strategy and execution for the Compressor business area.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities ensuring compliance with complex trade regulations and maintain familiarity with customs broker licensing processes if applicable.
• Provide master scheduling and process management for the Logistics Team, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration.
• Develop, implement, and continuously refine logistics management plans addressing strategies, transportation safety, regulatory compliance, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate and oversee import/export logistics, leveraging expertise in shipping operations, customs clearance, cost analysis, and supply chain information systems.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills; work effectively independently and collaboratively in high-pressure situations.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and Power BI.
• Work additional hours as needed to meet business objectives.

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of progressive experience managing import/export logistics and trade compliance.
• Familiarity with or holding a Customs Broker license is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in shipping operations, customs clearance, cost analysis, and supply chain information systems.
• Strong initiative, organizational skills, verbal and written communication abilities, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to perform effectively independently and collaboratively under high-pressure conditions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power BI.
