About the role

Longeviti is searching for a Logistics Analyst Level IV with an active Secret clearance to support the US Army at Fort Detrick in Frederick, MD.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, development, and implementation of logistics plans supporting production, distribution, warehousing, and inventory management operations.
  • Develop and implement strategic logistics solutions that improve workflow efficiency, optimize inventory levels, and reduce operational costs.
  • Create, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and business processes governing medical logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Analyze logistics performance metrics, inventory trends, transportation data, and supply chain performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop forecasting models and inventory management strategies to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory and waste.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing logistics operations, customer service, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Cook up logistics activities across multiple departments, vendors, government organizations, and medical facilities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, briefings, dashboards, and recommendations for leadership regarding logistics performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead and direct the work of junior logistics analysts and support personnel by assigning tasks, providing technical guidance, mentoring staff, and reviewing work products.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on medical logistics operations, inventory management, distribution systems, and supply chain optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, Department of Defense policies, agency procedures, and organizational standards.
  • Support audits, inspections, inventory reconciliations, quality assurance reviews, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Participate in contingency planning, risk management, and long-range logistics planning efforts.
  • Recommend and implement innovative technologies and best practices that improve logistics operations and reporting capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of organizational objectives.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies

  • Average of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in logistics, supply chain management, inventory control, or medical logistics.
  • Demonstrated experience leading logistics projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of medical logistics operations, inventory management, warehousing, distribution systems, and supply chain principles.
  • Experience developing logistics strategies, performance metrics, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Veterans Affairs (VA), or other federal healthcare logistics programs.
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), logistics management software, or automated inventory systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), or Business Process Improvement methodologies.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Pay

Salary Range: $95,000 - $116,000 USD. However, Longeviti considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
