Position Summary The Logistics Analyst, Inbound/Outbound will be a key member of the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Logistics Operations team at Redwood Materials. This person will be responsible for coordinating inbound raw material and feedstock freight into BESS operations, ensuring internal stakeholders and supplier requirements are met. The role operates out of the Battery Materials Campus (BMC) in Sparks, Nevada. The Logistics Analyst will plan and optimize inbound flows within a growing logistics network, including international and hazardous material (hazmat) shipping.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and coordinate inbound/outbound receiving schedules with suppliers and carriers to ensure on-time logistics executionCommunicate shipment information to carriers, internal stakeholders, and customersManage logistics operations through various modes of transportation, interact with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers, and collect shipping data in a Transportation Management System (TMS)Prepare pertinent shipping documents, including international transportation and hazardous material (hazmat) shipping documentationDevelop reporting tools and track key performance metrics of logistics performanceMonitor shipping costs and optimize logistics routingCommunicate with internal stakeholders, customers, and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers to meet operational demands and creatively solve problems when issues ariseSkills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesBachelor’s degree and/or equivalent relevant experience1-3 years of professional experience in the logistics field requiredPreference for Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Analytics majors, or Master’s degreeExperience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) coordination preferredPassion for sustainability and making the world a better place The position is full-time.
