Logistics Analyst - CSA II

Authorities / Responsibilities

• Aid in research and update of Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
• Aid in review and update of Allowance Equipment List (AEL)
• Interface with ILS team concerning HM&E Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) as it relates to CSA
• Interface with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Suppliers to obtain Vendor Furnished Information
• Interface with In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs), Material Item Managers, and SUPSHIP/Navy as needed
• Interface with Teaming partners/Suppliers concerning selected systems equipment's configuration support
• Participate in Engineering Change Management meetings, documenting CSA impacts, and providing Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates
• Perform Sight Validation of product configuration

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

• General: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 1 year of experience or 2-5 years of CSA experience on Navy, MSC or USCG Contracts in lieu of degree
• Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in Database development; Configuration Data Managers Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) or Merlin preferred
• Knowledge: Basic knowledge of ILS processes and technical areas
• Knowledge: Knowledge of System Breakdowns and Hierarchical Structure Code (HSC) usage
• Knowledge: Working knowledge of New Construction Processes including Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL)
• Skills: Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Programs
• Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
• Experience: Prior U.S. Navy, MSC or USCG experience desired, but not required
• Tools: MS Office, Haystack Program, specific databases CDMD-OA, Database Merlin

Direction Exercised

• Determine the technical adequacy of all CSA deliverables
• Provide CSA input to all members of the ILS Team

Physical Demands

• Must be able to tour all vessels and work sites
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
• Occasionally required to sit
• Must have the ability to bend, squat, stoop, crawl, and kneel
• Must be able to tour all vessels and work sites
• Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and ramps)
• Must have the ability to perform prolonged standing (2-3 hour intervals)
• Must have the ability to turn head from side to side and about the vertical axis
• Must have the ability to turn body at the waist from side to side and about the vertical axis
• Must have the ability to lift/push/pull 50lbs to 75lbs on an occasional basis (0-33% of the day)
• Must have the ability to lift/push/pull up to 20lbs on a frequent basis (34-66% of the day)
• Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and ramps)
• Must have the ability to demonstrate the ability to safely and appropriately use required tools and equipment (includes documentation, laptops, binders, etc.)
• Must have the ability to work at heights above 12’ while working from ladders, scaffolding and/or man lifts
• Must have the ability to work at a variety of levels (ex. waist, eye, overhead)
• Must have the ability to demonstrate good balance while working on uneven surfaces and maneuvering obstacles
• Must have the ability to possess sufficient handgrip and coordination to carry and operate tools and equipment
• Must have the ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards
• Must have the ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures
• Must have the ability to enter 18” x 36” openings and work in confined spaces for prolonged periods of time (up to 95% of the day)
• Must have the ability to respond to verbal and audible sounds/commands
• Must have the ability to utilize adequate visual skills
• Must have the ability to fully extend the arm while reaching overhead, reaching out, reaching to the side and reaching down
• Must have the ability to perceive attributes of an object/material such as size, shape, temperature and texture by means of receptors in the hands and fingers
• Must have the ability to read and record information in challenging conditions i.e. transposed numbers due to use of mirror to access equipment, dim lighting, small spaces, fine print
