Logistics Administrator
About the role
We are supporting an opportunity for a Logistics Administrator to help manage truck transportation activities that move materials and products efficiently from origin to destination. We are looking for someone who can support freight pricing, carrier relationships, shipment execution, and accurate rate administration while helping maintain strong service levels across the operation.
Responsibilities
- Support carrier management activities through rate negotiations, relationship management, capacity management, shipment execution, carrier segmentation, and spend oversight.
- Analyze transportation operations to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor carrier performance and take action to address negative trends and maintain required service levels.
- Update transportation systems, spreadsheets, databases, contracts, freight rates, volume estimates, customer information, and resolve freight invoice issues.
Requirements
- Must be available to work onsite in Lincoln, NE, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Must be open to potential overtime during harvest season.
- Must have experience negotiating rates and contract terms with carriers and managing transportation-related relationships.
- Must be able to work under general supervision and independently solve issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in grain commodity trading.
Schedule
- On-site in Lincoln, Nebraska
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Potential overtime during harvest season
