About the role
The Logistics Management Specialist will provide programmatic and life cycle logistics support for current Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects managed by the Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD).
Responsibilities
- Provide programmatic and life cycle logistics support for current EO/IR projects.
- Develop procurement documentation and manage the procurement process.
- Formulate budgets and track financial execution.
- Write technical documents as needed.
- Support project management tasks including coordinating project operations, managing records, schedules, and correspondence.
- Provide analytical support, deliverables tracking, and support the development of milestones and objectives.
- Manage the process flow for receiving airborne electro-optics/IR or similar assets, scheduling required maintenance, and monitoring the maintenance and return of assets.
- Manage inventories, including receiving, tracking, and issuing systems and repair parts.
- Ensure compliance with current Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) requirements.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to produce reports, trend analyses, and compile metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical demands: able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, twist, bend, and squat.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with and adherence to current Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) requirements.
- Experience with inventory database management and tracking.
- Knowledge of Navy Registry or other Navy, Army, USAF, or DOD Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) systems.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in database applications such as Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF).
- Proficiency in using SharePoint.
