Position Overview
Provide support to The United States Coast Guard (USCG), CG-AIR’s (to include the Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Aviation Projects Acquisition Center (APAC), and Office of Aeronautical Engineering (CG-AIR-E))
Essential Job Functions
- Assess equipment maintenance and logistics support requirements for USCG aircraft
- Submit Supply Item Change Requests (SICR)
- Prepare and provide documentation to support procurement actions
- Review and analyze data to determine item interchangeability or substitution options
- Evaluate logistical support plans for feasibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with engineering staff on special inventory requirements
- Analyze forecasting model outputs
- Work with Engineering and Procurement teams on supply-related issues (sources, databases, unit costs, stock quantities)
- Use AMMIS and ALMIS to generate requirements documents, create Unsatisfactory Reports, and monitor aviation inventory
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Ability to work with minimal Government oversight
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years' experience in supply/logistics
- At least 5 years' experience managing registration coding, inventory consolidation, long lead-time items, items with multiple supply sources, and proprietary data issues
- At least 5 years' aviation inventory management experience beyond Supply Technician level (e.g., Material Coordinator, Inventory Manager)
- Knowledge of USCG or DoW aircraft logistics support practices and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year experience in USCG procedures
- Proficiency in ALMIS
- Proficiency in AMMIS
