Logistic Specialist (Temporary)

Responsibilities

• Support the Shipping and Receiving (S&R) department as directed by the Shipping & Receiving supervisor
• Operate a college vehicle (must maintain a valid South Carolina Driver's License)
• Operate materials handling equipment
• Deliver equipment and supplies to various buildings on multiple campuses
• Perform extensive lifting of various packages (must be able to lift 70 pounds)
• Perform extensive walking and occasional outside work during periods of inclement weather
• Work located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus

Requirements

• High school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment
• Valid South Carolina Driver's License
• Time management skills and self-motivation to accomplish tasks in a timely manner
• Prior knowledge of warehouse safety and safe package lifting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook software
• Previous package delivery experience
• Previous experience working in a shipping and receiving department
