Logic and Classical Reasoning Philosophy Adjunct

About the role

Independence Community College employs adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate level courses. The position offers flexibility for those with full-time careers elsewhere.

Responsibilities

• Organize and teach on-line classes as assigned.
• Deliver quality instruction which prepares students for further education and/or the workplace.
• Manage the teaching environment to serve all learners.
• Provide regular and timely evaluation feedback to students.
• Maintain student attendance records.
• Submit mid-term and final grades.
• Participate in institutional effectiveness initiatives including assessment and evaluation.
• Demonstrate professionalism with faculty, administration, staff and students.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the chosen discipline, or a master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate credits in the concentration.
• PREFERRED: Higher education teaching experience.
• PREFERRED: Experience with the Canvas learning management platform.
