Locums Psychiatrist Position

About the role

This role involves providing inpatient mental health and psychiatric emergency care for patients aged 12 and up in various settings, including inpatient units, community behavioral health, and consult liaison services.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of approximately 20 patients per shift with a follow-up to new evaluation ratio of 4:1
• Delivering pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy
• Handling involuntary commitments and treating a range of disorders such as anxiety, affective, psychotic, personality, and eating disorders
• Participating in inpatient mental health and psychiatric emergency services

Qualifications And Skills

• Experience with involuntary commitments required
• Strong background in managing various mental health disorders
• Ability to perform in inpatient and community settings

Schedule

Guaranteed 40 hours per week with 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, including overnight call with low volume
