Locums Psychiatrist

Seeking a psychiatric professional to cover overnight shifts primarily from 12am to 8am on weekdays and Sunday nights. Shifts range from 4 to 16 hours, with a preference for 8 to 12-hour shifts.

About the role

The position involves seeing 8 to 12 patients per 8-hour shift in a comprehensive psychiatric emergency program (CPEP) located above the ER. At any given time, 30 to 50 patients of all ages are managed in the CPEP, with potential med/surg floor consults during overnight hours. Approximately 70% to 80% of patients are discharged.
