Locums Psychiatrist

About the role

This role involves providing inpatient psychiatric care on an acute psychiatric unit, managing an average of 10 patients per shift, including new admissions and follow-ups.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding
• Treatment of anxiety, psychotic, affective, and personality disorders
• Handling involuntary commitments with familiarity in restraint application

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm shifts, with guaranteed 8 hours per day and approximately 35–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training preferred
• Experience with inpatient psychiatric management
• Experience with involuntary commitments

Pay
