Locums Orthopedic Surgeon

About the Role

We are seeking an Orthopaedic Surgeon for 24-hour call coverage specializing in fractures, sports, and general orthopaedics cases. The position involves seeing 1-2 patients per shift with no spine cases, focusing on bread-and-butter orthopaedic procedures. A 20-minute call response time via beeper is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for orthopaedic cases, including fractures, sports injuries, and general orthopaedics.
• Perform arthroscopy and total joint replacement procedures, including joint revision or repair of hips, knees, and shoulders.
• Manage coverage for leave and handle orthopaedic case assignments.
• Respond to call within 20 minutes via beeper.
• Manage online reporting and communication.

Requirements

• Proficiency in arthroscopy and total joint replacement, including joint revision or repair.
• Experience in managing fractures, sports injuries, and general orthopaedic cases.
