ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Oncology – Kinston are seeking a board-certified, fellowship-trained Hematology Oncologist to provide coverage at their practice in Kinston, NC.

About the Role

  • Outpatient clinic setting with an infusion center featuring 14 chairs
  • Established practice with no call or weekend responsibilities
  • Average patient volume: 15-20 patients per day
  • Provider will respond to codes within the outpatient clinic setting only
  • Required procedures include supervision of chemotherapy administration
  • EPIC electronic health record system

Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage at the Kinston location from November 30 to December 18, 2026
  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • New providers arrive at 7:00 AM on Monday for orientation
  • May require UNC Lenoir privileges, including rounding on hospital patients and covering emergencies when the other oncologist is traveling

Requirements

  • Board-certified in Hematology/Oncology
  • Completion of fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology
  • MD or DO degree
  • No visa sponsorship available (J-1 or H-1B not accepted)
