Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient hospital-based gastroenterology coverage
- Perform upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG, and lower GI procedures
- Utilize skills in small bowel biopsy and flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Manage a patient load of 10-15 per shift during inpatient rounding
- Handle weekend call duties with a 1:4 call ratio, responding within 15-30 minutes
Qualifications & Skills
- Expertise in endoscopic procedures
- Strong clinical skills
- Ability to manage inpatient care
- Flexibility to work one week per month plus one weekend call per month is preferred
