Locums Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician

About the role

Seeking a qualified cardiovascular surgeon with 4-6 years of cardiac surgery OR experience to perform high-acuity cardiovascular procedures in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Performing adult CVOR surgeries
• Assisting with endoscopic vein harvesting
• Sternal chest closures
• Managing 4-6 daily cases
• Handling 10-20 patients per shift with an average inpatient census of 30-40
• Participating in high-complexity cardiovascular surgeries
• Delivering expert surgical care
• Managing high-acuity cases
• Collaborating with the surgical team

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of cardiac surgery OR experience
• Experience in CVICU preferred
• Ability to handle adult patients
• Strong surgical skills in adult cardiovascular procedures
