Join a tenured team of 27 Associates including a Medical Director, 4 Associate Veterinarians, a board-certified Surgeon, certified technicians, technician assistants, and experienced client service representatives at VCA Boone Animal Hospital in Western Springs, Illinois. This established hospital, serving the community since 1959, operates from a state-of-the-art facility opened in 2017. The hospital is AAHA-accredited, Feline Friendly, and Fear Free certified, focusing on high-quality, compassionate medicine.
You’ll have access to advanced equipment and services including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, laser surgery, laser therapy, acupuncture, in-house laboratory diagnostics, and outside lab services. The hospital fosters a collaborative and welcoming culture that values teamwork, mentorship, and strong medicine.
Located in Western Springs, an affluent and highly desirable Chicago suburb, the area offers a strong sense of community, excellent schools, a charming downtown, and easy access to Chicago via Metra rail. The hospital is conveniently near Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, La Grange, Oak Brook shopping and dining, walking trails, and Brookfield Zoo.
Responsibilities
- Provide small animal general practice with a strong focus on high-quality medicine and client relationships
- Work alongside an experienced medical team including a board-certified Surgeon
- Manage a diverse caseload supported by advanced diagnostics and modern technology
- Engage in an environment that encourages continued learning, collaboration, and medical growth
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent
- Licensure in good standing in Illinois, or the ability to obtain
- Commitment to practicing high-quality medicine and collaborative patient care
