Locum Veterinarian

About the role

We are seeking a skilled, adaptable, and compassionate Relief (Locum) Veterinarian to join our team on an as-needed basis. Whether you specialize strictly in GP, excel at fast-paced Urgent Care, or enjoy a hybrid of both, we have shifts that can fit your clinical strengths and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary care to patients under the supervision of licensed veterinarians.
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to assist in patient treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
• Assist in surgical procedures as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide education and support regarding their pets' health and care.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Requirements

• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state(s) where you will be working.
• Experience in a veterinary clinic setting preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine from an AVMA accredited program.
• Completion of an internship or residency program preferred.
