About the Role
A Board-Certified MD specializing in cardiothoracic surgery is sought to provide comprehensive inpatient services at a Level II facility. The role involves evaluating new patients, managing complex surgical cases, and delivering thorough post-operative care. Support staff includes nursing, medical assistants, and administrative personnel, with a variable caseload based on facility volume.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience with adult patients, and the ability to handle complex procedures in a technologically advanced environment utilizing Cerner EMR.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new patients and manage complex cardiothoracic surgical cases.
- Provide thorough post-operative care.
- Maintain 24-hour call coverage and prescriptive authority.
- Ensure on-site presence as required.
Schedule
- Primary workdays: Monday through Thursday.
- Clinic services on Fridays.
