Locum Tenens Psychiatrist

About the role

This role involves working in an acute psychiatric unit, providing mental health treatment to patients with anxiety, affective, and personality disorders.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately 16-18 patients per shift
• Handle involuntary commitments
• Restrain patients when necessary
• Conduct admissions
• Work within a team and adhere to protocols
• Document patient care

Qualifications

• Relevant psychiatric experience
• Ability to handle involuntary commitments
• Comfort with restraint application

Preferred Experience

• Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)

Schedule

Monday to Friday with one weekend per month. No call or night shifts required.

Pay

Competitive hourly pay ranging from $185.00 to $220.00.
