Locum Tenens Pediatric Anesthesiologist

About the role

This role involves providing anesthesia coverage in a busy pediatric facility with active NICU and PICU, handling high-acuity cases such as general surgery, ortho, neuro, spine, and transplant.

You will perform anesthesia blocks (caudal, adductor canal, interscalene, ESP), sedation, IR, EP lab procedures, MRI/LPs, ENT, and GI endoscopy.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for high-acuity pediatric cases (general surgery, ortho, neuro, spine, transplant)
• Perform anesthesia blocks: caudal, adductor canal, interscalene, ESP
• Administer sedation for IR, EP lab procedures, MRI/LPs, ENT, and GI endoscopy
• Maintain patient safety and ensure quality anesthesia care
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in a fast-paced, high-demand environment

Requirements

• Experience with ASA 1-5 patients, primarily ASA 2-4
• Expertise in a pediatric level I trauma center
• Proficiency in various anesthesia techniques and procedures
• Strong skills in managing high-pressure cases
• Excellent clinical and communication skills
