About the role
This is a hospital-based cardiovascular surgery role requiring 4–5+ years of cardiac surgery experience or equivalent expertise.
Responsibilities
- Perform 4–6 adult cardiovascular surgical cases daily
- Involvement in endoscopic vein harvesting
- First assisting and sternal closures
- Manage an inpatient census of 30–40 patients
- Shifts from 8 am to 5 pm in clinics and 5:30 am to 6:30 pm in hospitals
- No call duties
Qualifications
- 4–5+ years of cardiac surgery experience or equivalent expertise
- CVICU experience preferred
- Supervision during the first 3–4 months
