Locum Tenens PA - Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic Surgery

About the role

Seeking an experienced cardiovascular surgeon for a hospital-based role with no call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performing 4-6 adult cardiovascular surgical cases daily
• Managing an inpatient census of 30-40 patients
• Providing inpatient care during clinic hours from 8 am to 5 pm and hospital shifts from 5:30 am to 6:30 pm

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of cardiac surgery experience
• Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting, first assisting, and sternal closure
• CVICU experience is preferred
• Supervision is needed for the initial 3-4 months

Skills

• Strong surgical expertise
• Ability to handle adult cardiovascular cases
• Excellent clinical judgment
