Locum Tenens Neurologist

About the role

This role involves providing emergency and inpatient neurological care on a call-only basis with 12-hour shifts covering ED, stroke program, and consults, without clinic duties.

Responsibilities

• Radiologic exam interpretation
• Lumbar puncture
• Thrombolytic therapy
• Potentially EEG, EMG, NCV, evoked potentials, nerve/muscle biopsies, brain death exams, and pain management procedures
• Managing call responsibilities via beeper
• Assignment details managed through an online portal

Qualifications

• Expertise in neurodiagnostic procedures
• Ability to operate in a hospital setting without stroke certification
• Flexibility in scheduling and assignments

Skills

• Experience or interest in Botox and nerve blocks (preferred)
