Locum Tenens Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

About the Role

This position is for a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) providing inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular disease management in a supportive environment with resources to facilitate effective care delivery. The role is based in a community-rich area with cultural and recreational amenities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Manage a caseload of 12-15 patients daily.
• Complete all clinical documentation using the EPIC EMR system.
• Provide day shift coverage, including one weekend of in-house rounding and consults per month.
• Exercise prescriptive authority responsibly.
• Ensure high-quality, continuous care without call obligations.
• Support the hospital's clinical protocols and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Prescriptive authority.
