Locum Tenens Cardiac Anesthesia Coverage

About the role

This role offers an opportunity to provide specialized cardiac anesthesia coverage in a large surgical department with over 16 operating rooms.

Responsibilities

• Manage 5-8 patients per shift
• Cover a variety of cases such as open heart, thoracic, complex vascular, and neurosurgical surgeries
• Provide general anesthesia when cardiac cases are unavailable
• Be on beeper call with a 20-minute response time and a 10-20% call-back rate

Qualifications

• Hold TEE certification with 30-40 TEEs completed in the past year
• Relevant certification
• Experience in structural cardiac and pump cases
• Ability to work in a dynamic surgical environment
