About the role

Promotes a professional patient-centered practice image while performing history, physical examinations, diagnoses, and therapeutic treatment regimens as required. Interprets lab results under the supervision and direction of a practicing physician. Utilizes a team-based approach to all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient history and physical examinations
• Establish diagnoses and develop therapeutic treatment regimens
• Interpret laboratory results
• Collaborate using a team-based approach to patient care
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered practice image

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
• Current North Carolina license
• ACLS and PALS or BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required within three months of employment date
• Preferred: Family or Specialty Nurse Practitioner Certification
• Preferred: Two or more years of experience in practice area (see Practice Area Requirements for details)
• Expected proficiency in basic aspects of the job within three months of employment given training and on-the-job experience
