Locum Psychiatrist Opportunity

About the role

We are seeking a Psychiatry Physician to work in an inpatient psychiatric unit with adolescent and adult patients, treating ages 12 and up in emergency and inpatient settings. This role is ideal for a psychiatrist seeking a rewarding position in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
• Manage approximately 20 patients per shift.
• Cover psychiatric emergency services and consult liaison roles.
• Handle involuntary commitments.
• Maintain a follow-up to new evaluation ratio of 4:1.

Requirements

• Strong clinical skills in inpatient and emergency psychiatry.
• Familiarity with involuntary commitments.
• Experience treating adolescent and adult patients (ages 12 and up).

Schedule

• 7 days on, 7 days off.
• 10-hour shifts from 8 am to 6 pm.
• Guaranteed 40 hours weekly, including overnight call.
