Locum Psychiatrist Opportunity

About the role

Provide inpatient psychiatric care for adolescent and adult patients aged 12 and up in both inpatient and emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy
• Manage approximately 20 patients per shift with a 4:1 follow-up to new evaluation ratio
• Handle involuntary commitments
• Provide coverage for psychiatric emergency services and consult liaison duties

Requirements

• Experience in inpatient and emergency psychiatry
• Ability to handle a diverse patient population

Schedule

• 7 days on / 7 days off
• 10-hour shifts
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week, including overnight call
