Locum | Physician Thoracic Surgery

About the Role

Locum assignments vary in duration, from as short as a day to as long as several years, and can be local or require travel. This opportunity offers a mix of clinic, operating room, and call coverage in both inpatient and outpatient settings, handling adult, pediatric, and neonate cases.

Schedule

Clinic: Tuesday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (includes OR and call coverage).

Responsibilities

• See 8-10 patients per day in clinic; 15 per day for inpatient rounding.
• Provide 24-hour STEMI call and cath lab coverage.
• Perform vein harvesting and first-assist duties.
• Handle general surgery, cardiac/thoracic surgery, laparoscopic procedures, and GI endoscopy.

Requirements

• First assist capabilities required.
• General surgery and cardiac/thoracic surgery skills preferred.
• Laparoscopic procedures and GI endoscopy skills preferred.
