Locum | Physician Medical Oncology

About the role

A locums Medical Oncologist is needed for a 4 or 5 days per week position at a facility in North Carolina. The schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekends. The provider will see 10 to 16 adult patients daily in a 100% outpatient clinic setting. 75% of the work is in medical oncology and 25% in hematology. The provider will treat breast, colon, lung, prostate cancers, and multiple myeloma. There is some oversight of advanced practice providers but no procedures are required. Occasional phone calls are made.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology
• At least 3 years of recent medical oncology experience
• Some experience with advanced practice providers

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina
• Current DEA license
• Current NC prescriber’s license
