Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Anesthesiology

Hospital-based role in Hampton, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provide general anesthesia for adult patients (pediatric experience preferred)
• Perform spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia
• Manage cases including OB, neurosurgical spine, and complex vascular procedures
• Participate in on-call duties with in-house CRNA support
• Ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality anesthetic care

Qualifications and Skills

• MD with valid medical license
• Experience with adult anesthesia and regional techniques
• Ability to handle diverse cases including OB and complex surgeries
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Key Duties

• Provide anesthesia services during weekdays, potentially three days per week
• Participate in a 1:4 weekday call schedule with post-call day off
• Complete credentialing and documentation via an online portal
• Work with pre-paid travel, housing, and malpractice coverage
• Maintain ongoing communication with a dedicated healthcare consultant
