Locum | Physician Interventional Radiology

About the role

An Interventional Radiologist is needed for locum tenens help in Hawaii. The position is based in Hilo, HI and works 8am – 6pm with a 7 on 7 off schedule, including night and weekend call. The work environment is hospital-based with 100% interventional radiology coverage, no diagnostic studies, and a call team of 3 RNs and a tech for support.

Responsibilities

• Trauma management
• Oncology procedures
• CT and US guided procedures
• Y90s, chemo ablation, embolization, microwave, peripheral limb salvage procedures
• Brachytherapy (except neuro IR)

Requirements

• Board certification required

Qualifications

• Experience with high-end procedures (6-10 per day)
• Knowledge of Y90s, chemo ablation, embolization, microwave, peripheral limb salvage procedures
• Experience with trauma management and oncology procedures
• Experience with CT and US guided procedures
• Experience with brachytherapy (except neuro IR)

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
• Proficiency in trauma management and oncology procedures
• Knowledge of CT and US guided procedures
• Experience with Y90s, chemo ablation, embolization, microwave, peripheral limb salvage procedures
• Experience with brachytherapy (except neuro IR)
