Shifts

• Day shifts: 6 am - 6 pm
• Night shifts: 6 pm - 6 am

Patient Volume

• Days: 16 - 22 patients per day with 1 - 2 admits per provider
• Nights: 6 - 8 admits on average

Setting

• Hospitalist setting
• ICU rounding required

Role

• Hospitalist leads codes
• ER physician support when available
• Leave coverage
